Southwoods believes attentive care and compassion are necessary for proper healing. We also know that, while our doctors, nurses and staff excel in providing this attention, patients also need the support of friends and family, so we encourage visitors.
If your visit to Southwoods is for an outpatient procedure — or “day procedure” — your guests will be comfortable in our spacious lobby, where they will have access to televisions, magazines and complimentary beverages. We may ask you to designate one visitor to sit with you in your post-operative room and coordinate your discharge with our staff.
If you are an inpatient — or “overnight patient” — you and your visitors will enjoy Southwoods’ open visitation policy. Family and friends may visit in your room at anytime. As a healthcare facility, we do ask that persons with possible illnesses like colds and flu refrain from visiting. We also ask that all visitors be respectful of other patients and keep noise levels low for a peaceful atmosphere.
You do have the option of inviting one guest to stay with you overnight. Our staff will provide a guest bed in your room and help your guest order meals from our Café. Please be sure your overnight guest is 18 years of age or older.
