Illnesses & Injuries: When to Visit Southwoods Express Care

Life doesn’t always go as planned. One day you’re feeling fine, the next you’re dealing with a fever, sprained ankle or a child with an earache. When these situations pop up, it’s not always easy to know where to turn for help. Do you wait for a primary care appointment, head to the ER or stop into Southwoods Express Care?

At Southwoods Express Care, we provide convenient, same-day treatment for many of life’s unexpected illnesses and injuries. Our goal is to get you the right level of care quickly, without the stress of an emergency room visit.

What you should know:

Locations: Southwoods Express care has three convenient locations: on the Southwoods main campus in Boardman, on East State Route 14 in Columbiana and Struthers-Liberty Road in Campbell.

Insurance and cost: Most insurance plans are accepted. Express Care visits typically cost less than Emergency Room visits.

Coordination with your primary care: Staff at Southwoods Express Care can work with your primary care provider for appropriate follow-up care, or help connect you with a primary care provider if you don’t have one.

When to Visit Southwoods Express Care

Express Care is designed to treat non-life-threatening health issues that need prompt attention. No appointment is necessary, so you can simply walk in and be seen by one of our experienced providers.

Common reasons to visit Southwoods Express Care include:

  • Allergies, asthma flare-ups
  • Coughs, colds, flu symptoms
  • Ear infections, sinus infections, sore throat
